ISARG is a multidisciplinary team of researchers with a shared interest in research at the intersection of healthy ageing and climate change. Members of ISARG live in more than fifteen countries and on five continents. They are world-leading scholars and practitioners in relevant disciplines, including public health, environmental science, civil engineering, planning, medicine, psychology, human resources management, finance, social marketing, information technologies, sociology, architecture, and data analytics. The objective of ISARG is to generate research funding, undertake translational research, and engage policymakers through knowledge exchange. The group plays a central role in generating the corpus for healthy ageing and in ensuring that research evidence promptly fosters opportunities for healthy ageing during crises. The word “crises” refers to extreme climate change events, war, or any disorientating event that can adversely impact population health.

Mission
Our mission is to proactively contribute to the development of policies and interventions for healthy ageing (now referred to as “sustainable ageing”) in response to climate change and other global crises.
We bridge the gap between academia and industry by generating and publishing reliable research evidence and engaging with relevant stakeholders through knowledge exchange activities.
We are poised to generate scientific evidence toward realising the Sustainable Development Goals, especially goals 3 (health and well-being), 11 (sustainable cities and communities), 12 (climate action), and 17 (partnership).
Vision
We foresee a world where healthy longevity is globally equitable despite climate change and other global crises. We aspire to become a centre of excellence and a flagship of interdisciplinary research institutes.
Values
Excellence in research.
Reliability of research output.
Prompt research impact.
